365 Days of Gratitude - Day 108

Mmmmmmmmm. Eggs for dinner, and not just any eggs, eggs from my favourite chickens and my favourite organic farmers.

This morning I popped over to the rural home of my dear friends Levi, Andrea and wee little Linden to visit and pick up some eggs. A couple years ago they rescued these wonderful gals (and 1 rooster) from deplorable conditions. They have flourished under Levi and Andrea's love and care and have rewarded that love with once again producing eggs.

Watching Andrea interact with her flock is like watching poetry in motion. She and Levi live a beautiful minimalist life and are an inspiration to the rest of us still controlled by a desire for 'more' and a lack of connection with the natural world and our impact on it.

I am lucky to know them and call them friends.

Feeling grateful,
Louise
