Early this morning I was greeted with the exciting news of a new grand nephew entering the world. His mom Sarah and grandmother Debbie are especially close to my heart so hearing, and then spreading the news was a morning highlight.
This evening I attended a memorial service with mom. Southlake Regional Healthcenter hosted the service for families that lost a loved one at the hospital. What an incredible evening hearing tributes and messages from the very doctors, nurses, and volunteers that cared for my dad (and others) in their final days.
Birth and death. The cycle of life. How fitting my day began and ended with moments that deeply touch my soul.
